Jérôme Bour, CEO of DDS for over 20 years, explains: How to reduce CO2 from transport
It has been observed that the logistics sector is one of the most polluting, accounting for 10% of CO2 emissions.
With the implementation of the “Green New Deal” project, which consists of reducing CO2 emissions by 2050, companies are forced to limit their environmental impact.
With this in mind, Jérôme Bour, CEO of DDS, the French leader in TMS, provides keys in this article to help companies know how to reduce CO2 emissions from transport :
- Firstly, make a theoretical calculation of emissions in a unitary and precise manner through a TMS to know what the company emits and how it is distributed.
- Then, identify the flows/areas where it is most interesting to act, as this is where emissions are highest
- Finally, optimise the efficiency of transport and in particular filling through planning, pooling of resources, optimisation of loads
We invite you to contact us to find out about our logistics solutions, enabling you to measure, monitor and reduce the CO2 emissions of your shipments.
